We are ethical.We do business the Right Way. We create and sell technology that is truly solving problems, not looking to simply make money. We operate with honesty and openness with our employees, customers, investors, and all other stakeholders. We don’t look to shortcuts or improper behavior to get business deals done, even in environments where it may be more acceptable. We extend trust and seek to cultivate it in others as they work with us. We are uncompromising in operating this way, even if it costs us profit, customers, or market position.

WE ARE AUTHENTIC.

We are a self-aware company, and we don’t shy away from our position. Sometimes, this means we have a contrarian viewpoint; sometimes the entire industry may be going one way, while we insist on the other. We don’t do this to needlessly argue; we do this because we passionately believe in the security solutions we offer. By nature, we are a curious group of people, constantly seeking to learn. We scan our environments, inherently skeptical, cautious, or even nervous about where industry and government are going. We’re not tin-foily, but we are pioneers, because we don’t quite see things the same way others do.
And we’re okay with that.

We go beyond simply being mindful of our customers; we are committed to always doing the right thing for them. Sometimes this means proposing a technological solution that is different than what they asked for, but explaining why it’s the right thing for them. We go beyond simply creating a competitive product. Instead, we create industry-leading products, and price and sell them to customers in a way that creates value for both sides. We are delighted when our customers are, and we expect that they notice our customer service. We are wholly responsive to customer concerns, and every person in the organization owns this, not just Engineering Support. Rather than waiting on hearing from customers, we seek feedback from them.

Since our company’s inception, we have had a single-minded focus on solving the toughest problems facing the security industry. We are experts in our field and are not easily swayed by trends. We get excited when presented with a puzzle, but we also stay within our domain of core competency and knowledge.

WE CREATE TECH FOR THE BETTERMENT OF EVERYONE.

We have a Utopian view of what technology could be. We think that everyone deserves a secure web, and we think we have the technology to instill trust in the Internet. People who are connected and secure have a level economic playing field, and we have the technology to enable that. We are passionate believers in open-source technology, and we know we wouldn’t be where we are now without that community. We believe in sharing and giving back, both in technology as well as with people. We hire people who have the potential to be teachers and mentors, who are collaborative, and who join in this vision.

We view our people as full people, a completeness of goals and aspirations (which may not relate to StrongKey at all), family, pursuits outside of work, relationships, and career paths. We strive to create a workplace that respects balance and provides opportunities to pursue passions, whether related to work or not. We believe work is an important thing, but not the most important thing. Work can (and should) be fun and enjoyable, but we hold that in tension with the seriousness it takes to work in an industry with mission-critical data, increasing attacks, and data breaches all around us.
